1) what technology did you use in the filming and editing of your preliminary task?

Adobe Premier Pro Cs6 was the editing program we used to edit our film correctly to our standards to use the effect of matching shots to make it natural and timed realistically. we also used the Panasonic 9 full HD HC-V11- 8.9 mega pixel camera to film our preliminary task connected to the tripod. by using the tripod it meant the use of steady shots and the fact it was light weight meant it was easy to carry around. by having a lesson to help edit and film we could use basic cuts and adjustments but with the time given we could develop our techniques and create a more professional film by editing out background noise or lightening.

2) what have you learnt from the ideas process, casting, script writing filming and editing of your preliminary task?

we had a lesson to edit the footage using Adobe Premiere Pro. This software allowed us to import and edit our clips. originally, we started the basic things like adjusting frames and making sure it was in order. However as time progressed, we started to understand the program we could develop our skills and focus on effects like exposure and glow or lighting or even sound which gave our film a professional outlook. The lighting effect in particular really  helped us change the mood and give the audience an idea of the emotions of the scene such as light on the outside and more dull whilst in the café with less exposure towards the light. we also focused on camera angles such as match on action and the 180 degree rule which created a variety of shots showing professionalism. Also, some scenes like the filming of the door, last for too long which prevents the storyline to continue as smoothly as they could as opposed to a shorter and more dramatic clip such as ours which was only two minutes. Script writing was made short but efficient to make the most of speech to help understand the scene to the audience to make the audience educated yet wanting to watch on.  the casting was fun as we had a meeting on who was best and choose a willing a level drama student who has experience but whom would enjoy the task hence was an easy option.
